About

We Are PLANO

For over 27 years, Plano Wildcats Hockey Association (PWHA) has celebrated tremendous success and takes pride in the legacy of excellence that is Plano Wildcats hockey. Since 1997, as part of the Original Four teams in the High School league for the D/FW Metroplex, and winners of the inaugural season, the Plano Wildcats organization has had the privilege of our student athletes finding success both on and off the ice.

At PWHA, we believe high school hockey is far more than just a sport, it’s a life experience that enables our student athlete to gain good character traits, consistent and positive influences, and lessons learned that help shape and prepare them such as hard work, teamwork, respect, citizenship, sportsmanship, and self-confidence as they continue in their development and what it means to being a student athlete. That said, the skills required of a hockey player exceed other sports with the combination of agility, endurance, reaction time, balance, positioning, and strength needed to play the game at a high school level. The speed and challenge of the game is higher than it ever has been in hockey’s decorated history. The overall promotion of the sport of hockey, and community it brings together to represent their school and pride captures the very essence of what high school sports is all about.

It is a privilege to be a part of the family that is Plano Senior Hockey, its tradition, and pride to wear the maroon and white. Thank you to all the players, coaches, and families that make up Plano Hockey of past, present, and future to come.

Go Plano!
